I took second at USATF Nationals Cross-Country when I was ten. I was 6th at nationals in the 3000 in 2004.

Personal:

I did lots of competitive running growing up. I'm now 23 and have fibromyalgia and CFS. I just finished nursing school and am going back for my MSN in a few months, but I want to get back in shape and be able to run again.

I was so excited about my race. I ran 20:35, which is a minute faster than Murray 5k and more than a minute faster than magna. My splits were 6:09, 7:03, and 7:22 (for a 1.1 miles). I could have went faster, but I didn't trust myself enough to run faster in the second mile. I'm excited for the 10k, and I want to find a 5k maybe next saturday to see if I can improve my 5k time (even though all courses are legitimate). Sasha's Predictor says I should run 42:36 at Deseret News, I want to see if I can go faster than that.

Great job! You're really getting to another level. 6:09 is very quick, even if it was downhill. Good luck in the 10K, you'll almost certainly get a PR! BTW, why don't you put your PRs on the sidebar? It'll make it easy to compare performances and it's fun when your PRs are constantly getting better.

Excellent race! I agree with Maria, you are really working hard and getting results. Sky's the limit on how far you can go, but don't get in too big of a hurry since you've got lots of years to progress. Congrats.
