I took second at USATF Nationals Cross-Country when I was ten. I was 6th at nationals in the 3000 in 2004.

Personal:

I did lots of competitive running growing up. I'm now 23 and have fibromyalgia and CFS. I just finished nursing school and am going back for my MSN in a few months, but I want to get back in shape and be able to run again.

Today I was much more focused for my races. I warmed up about a mile and then a mile of speed changes. I was in the 3200 and the 800. In the 3200 I wanted to go out with the lead pack and stay their as long as I could. I was able to hang for two laps and most of the third but then I started falling back. The first mile of today's race beat my mile time in yesterday's race by 11 seconds. My final time was 12:36 in the 3200. In the 800 I warmed up about a mile and then I did some strides. My legs were tired from the previous races. I went out in 1:19 and then finished with a 1:29 which put me at 2:49. I was happy with my races today. It was a good learning experience. I think I should be doing more long repeats so I can build my endurance, because my workouts aren't matching up to my races.
