I took second at USATF Nationals Cross-Country when I was ten. I was 6th at nationals in the 3000 in 2004.

Personal:

I did lots of competitive running growing up. I'm now 23 and have fibromyalgia and CFS. I just finished nursing school and am going back for my MSN in a few months, but I want to get back in shape and be able to run again.

Today I ran the 3000 and the 800. The 3000 was first. I just wanted to qualify for nationals, and the top three go. There were only four in the race. Once the race started I just stayed right on the third place girl. I wanted to stay on her till about 1000 meters to go, because I didn't want to have to try to out kick her. I stayed with her, then I passed her and was able to hold her off till the end, so I was third and qualified. My time was 12:09. That's the fastest I've ran this year, plus it was at a higher elevation than Salt Lake. (Pegasus 174)

Then I was in the 800, and I really didn't want to do it. I was seeded with the slowest time, so I didn't see the point in it, but my Dad talked me in to doing it anyways. I ran a 2:49. My legs were exhausted. I started out fine but the second lap didn't go so well. My first split was a 1:15, and then a 1:34.
