I took second at USATF Nationals Cross-Country when I was ten. I was 6th at nationals in the 3000 in 2004.

Personal:

I did lots of competitive running growing up. I'm now 23 and have fibromyalgia and CFS. I just finished nursing school and am going back for my MSN in a few months, but I want to get back in shape and be able to run again.

Today I ran Heart of Holladay. I did a warm up from my house to the starting line which is just over two miles. Right when I started the warm up I could feel that my legs were tired. I ran the race and I was pushing the whole time. I ran a 6:26, 6:38, 7:05, and the last .1 was 39. At about mile one I could hear Demetrio behind me and I didn't want him to beat me so it was good motivation to push. My total time was a 20:51. I was happy with the race hopefully I can run faster at murray. I just went back and looked at my time from last year which was a 22:18 so I ran about 1:40 faster than that, which is really encouraging. Tonight was very interesting! I had dinner around 8:30 we ate shrimp. Then we went to a wedding at 9:30, and when we got back from the wedding I decided I needed to go running because I didn't have my 40 miles for the week. My dad drove me over to a park by my house and we started to run. About a mile and a half into the run my face started itching really bad. The next time we ran past the car I told my dad I was going to stop and get some water, and look in the mirror because my lip felt swollen. When I stopped I had hives all over and my face was swelling up really bad. My dad finished running and then we went to pick my mom and brothers up from the house and then we went to the hospital. It turns out I'm allergic to shell fish, so that kind of sucks, and I didn't finsh my run so I'm short for the week but oh well.

I had you in my sights but couldn't catch up--great race. Remember a few years back at the downhill Homecoming U of U 5K? I think we ran that in 17:20 or something like that, I was sprinting with you right at the end. I'm hoping I can get back to that, what about you?
