I took second at USATF Nationals Cross-Country when I was ten. I was 6th at nationals in the 3000 in 2004.

Personal:

I did lots of competitive running growing up. I'm now 23 and have fibromyalgia and CFS. I just finished nursing school and am going back for my MSN in a few months, but I want to get back in shape and be able to run again.

AM- Started at Sugar House Park. This was the route we did :

http://www.gmap-pedometer.com/?r=1100308

It was 4.8 miles and it took me 44:00. My legs didn't feel good at all. Everything hurt, and even now my calves and feet are still aching. I don't know why, maybe I'm just feeling slugish from taking yesterday off. If I go again tonight hopefully I'll feel better. (Pegasus 144)

PM- Ran on the pipeline trail. I ran from Burch Hollow to Church's fork and back. I took it really easy, I was planning on picking it up in the second half but when I turned around I decided not to. My time was 29:54. (Pegasus 147)

AM- Ran on the pipeline trail. We started at Burch's Hollow and ran 20 minutes out and then came back. My total time was 39:26. I took it easy and it felt good. Hopefully my legs will feel good for tomorrow. After the run I went and iced in the river for 10 minutes. (Pegasus 151)

PM- Ran at Sugar House Park. Did one loop around the perimeter of Sugar House Park. Legs felt good. (Pegasus 153)

Warmed up with Emily Jameson for about a mile and a half in the park. Ran the race, nothing out of the ordinary. My splits were 6:58, 6:53, 7:08, and 38. I don't know if the mile markers were accurate. My legs felt fine.

AM- We ran at Liberty Park this morning. I was very sore, everywhere! Yesterday I went on a hike to Lake Blanche which is about 6 miles round trip and then I played a few games like capture the flag and stuff, so I think that is why I am sore. Also on the hike I fell twice and kind of hurt my ankle, which bothered me a little bit today. We did one lap for our warm-up. We did 5 strides that were about 50 meters long. Then we did one lap as a time trial, and one lap cooldown. I lost my watch on the hike yesterday and the one I'm using right now doesn't recall splits so I don't know all of my times, but my faster lap was in 10:34. I felt good, but with about half a mile to go my legs got really heavy and mentally I kind of gave up, then I refocused and was able to finish fast. In the cooldown my legs were very tired. I have a track meet tomorrow, so I don't know if I will run tonight. I might just do a couple miles to loosen up my legs. (Pegasus 157)

Ran the 1500 meter today. I didn't really have any goals for the race, I just ran without worrying about pace or place or anything. My first lap was 1:23, then 1:35, 1:34, and 1:08(300m). My total time was 5:42 which is the fastest I've done a 1500 so far this year. Then I did the 800. By this time it was really, really hot! All I wanted to do was break 3 minutes. I started the first lap and at about 200 meters into it I realized McKenzie Snyder wasn't that far ahead, and if I picked it up a little bit I could catch up to her. I caught up to her and passed her 350 meters into the race. My first lap was in 1:13. I was able to hold her off till about 250 meters to go. Then my legs completely died, and my total time was 2:40 so my second lap was a 1:22. I felt good about both races ecspecially since I ran 11 seconds faster in both the 1500 and the 800. My legs are still very sore from the hike.
