I took second at USATF Nationals Cross-Country when I was ten. I was 6th at nationals in the 3000 in 2004.

Personal:

I did lots of competitive running growing up. I'm now 23 and have fibromyalgia and CFS. I just finished nursing school and am going back for my MSN in a few months, but I want to get back in shape and be able to run again.

This morning we did a run from Sugar House park. We ran to the drinking fountain by Shriner Hospital and back. It was 8.5 miles. My time was 1:08:38, so about 8:05 pace. My calves were really hurting on the way out. Me and Susannah ran together. (Pegasus 317)

AM- This morning for XC practice we met at the JCC. We ran up dry creek 3 miles out and back. On the way out we carried our rocks so we could add them to our pile. It was a good run. My leg has been bothering me so I was going to take it easy but it ended up not hurting. I'll just have to watch it and make sure I don't over do it. I'm planning on 50 miles for the week, so hopefully that won't be too much. (Pegasus 323)

PM- Tonight I just ran an easy two miles at Sugar House park. My leg was hurting so I decided not to do the fartlek. Hopefully it will start to feel better. (Pegasus 325)

Today we had a hill workout at Cottonwood complex. First we did a 2 mile warm-up. Then we did 5 strides. Then we did 3 short hills and 3 long hills. The short hill was just over 200 meters and my times were 53, 52, 51. The long hills were 400 meters. My times for those were 1:26, 1:26, and 1:24. Then we did a two mile cooldown. It was a good workout. (Pegasus 331)

AM- This morning I was at Youth Conference at Camp Williams. I woke up early and went for a run before everyone else got up. I just went for a short 4 mile run. I had to stay on the base but I found a trail that went up a small canyon. It was a good run, and my leg didn't hurt too bad. (Pegasus 335)

PM- Tonight me and Demetrio ran on the Jordan River Trail. We went for 6 miles. Our time was 56:16, so it was a nice easy run. (Pegasus 341)

This morning we ran at liberty park. I did 3 laps. My time was 35:20. It felt good but my leg hurt a little bit. I'm excited for the 5k tomorrow. It should be a good race. (Pegasus 345)

AM- This morning I ran the Minute Man 5k. I warmed up with Kiley about a mile. Then we started the race. I wanted to break 19. I knew that would be a huge improvement and a hard goal to reach but I decided to try anyway. My first mile was a 6:03. Me and Susannah were together at this point. When we turned to go on the downhill Susannah pulled about 10 meters ahead of me. She stayed that way and stretched the gap further and further the rest of the race. My second mile was a 6:16. I thought this was interesting because at Draper Days I also ran a 6:16 the second mile. My last mile was way too slow again. A 6:57, and then the last tenth was a 39. My total time was 19:58. I was 9 seconds slower than Draper Days. I think part of it was the heat, and I also wasn't in much of a racing mood. I need to work on that. After the race I did a 5 mile cooldown with Kiley, and some boys on the team.

PM- Tonight I went for an easy 4 miles with my Dad on the Jordan River Trail. It felt a little forced. I think I'm just tired. My time was 32:16 so just over 8 minute pace. I hit 50 for the week, so that was good! (Pegasus 350)
