I took second at USATF Nationals Cross-Country when I was ten. I was 6th at nationals in the 3000 in 2004.

Personal:

I did lots of competitive running growing up. I'm now 23 and have fibromyalgia and CFS. I just finished nursing school and am going back for my MSN in a few months, but I want to get back in shape and be able to run again.

Went for a run from the hotel. I intended on only going 4 miles but I got lost and it ended up being 5.5 before I found my way back. I felt good but was very tired by the end of the run.

Went for 4.5. I felt pretty sluggish for the first 2.5 miles or so. Towards the end I did 3- 1 minute strides to try and loosen up. I felt pretty good by the end of the run.

I'm staying in Phoenix right now and I helped my boyfriend move from a hotel room to a house today. It took all day and was dark by the time I got out to run so I went for a very short run.

I'm back home now, so I did 2 miles to the Rite Aid and back. It took 38 minutes so about 9:30 pace. I felt very sluggish but my legs seem to be handling the mileage well. I'm going to start incorporating yoga and light weight training to hopefully help with my flexibility and strength.

This morning I did a Bikram yoga class, then I went for a 4 mile run. I felt really good and it took me about 37 minutes.

Went for 4 miles. It took me about 36 minutes. I need to get some new watch batteries so I can start knowing my times more exactly. My hamstrings are very sore from the yoga yesterday. Other than that I felt good and I was able to open up a bit on the way back. I went to the Old mill haunted house and back.

I didn't run yesterday because I wasn't feeling very well. Today I went 6 miles at Sugar House Park. I just did 3 laps around the perimeter. My left knee and shin were hurting a little bit, but hopefully will feel fiine by tomorrow. It took me about 56 minutes so a little under 9:30 pace.

Started at the capital went to the mouth of city creek and went up about a mile and a half, then came back down and went to the drinking fountain at Shriners and back to the capital. I needed 11 and I thought it seemed short but my dad told me that would be 11, so I went to go find him on his run to see if he wanted to be put on the list for massages. I asked him if it was really 11 we thought about it and realized it was only 9, so I got out of the car and went with him a little ways which ended up being 2.5 more. My left shin was hurting a little bit the whole run. After the run I did toe taps and calf raises and streched a little bit. I need to remember to strech and do strengthening exercises so that I can stay healthy.

I went to Liberty park this morning and did 6 miles. It took me 53 minutes so about 8:50 pace. It's starting to get easier and I'm starting to get faster so that's encouraging. Last night I was walking through my house in the dark and I ran into a wooden table with my knee pretty hard. It's bruised and hurts pretty bad. It bothered me on the run but not too much. Hopefully it'll get better in a couple days. My shin didn't hurt today. I did the calf raisers and toe taps after my run again. I also stopped at the gym and did some core work. I've been getting alot of side aches so I think I should do more core work to help prevent that.

I went for 7 miles. I wanted to get in as many miles as possible before the storm hits. It took me an hour and 3 minutes, so 9 minute miles. It felt good. I went from my house down to xcel, then acroos to cottonwood mall, then up to rite aid and back home.

I went for 6 miles. My car got stuck at work last night so I ran to work to pick it up. It was a nice run but there was alot of snow on the side walks and on the sides of the road so I had to run in the streets. I also did a Bikram Yoga class today.

Today's run was really hard. I felt very sluggish and it was pretty windy. I went 9.5 miles, so it was my long run for the week. I don't think I ate properly before hand. My legs felt fine though.

I went for 6.5 miles. I felt really sluggish again today. My  pace ended up being 9:45 which was actually faster than what I thought I was going so that was good. I went from my house up to wasatch around to Porcupine grill and back through old mill. I had to add some laps around the parks to make it long enough. I got my miles for the week, so I'll be able to use tomorrow as a cross train day. After my run I did toe taps, calf raises, lunges, push-ups, and sit-ups.

I'm back in Arizona. I went for a 6 mile run along the canal. I went out 3 miles and back. On the way back I did 10x1 minute on 1 minute off. My time was 52:40, so 8:45 pace. I felt pretty good. Then I did some toe taps because my shins hurt a little bit. It's very hot here so that will take a couple of days to get used to.

Jogged about a mile warm-up. I wanted to use this race as a starting point so I could see where I was. It was 4 miles and I ran in my trainers. There weren't too many people in the race and it was rolling hills throughout the whole thing. It took me 28:38 so 7:10 pace. I felt good. After the race I did 1.5 miles of cooldown. Then when I got back to the house I did 2 miles with paul.

Good job. You forgot to tell everyone that you won a plumbing pipe wrench for your trophy. I am sure it will look great on your wall. Just don't hang it over your bed in case it falls:)

I did 6.5 miles again. The first 2 were with Paul. My leg has still been hurting and is making me nervous. Maybe I should do a few days of cross training. My knee on the same leg has been popping non-stop. It doesn't hurt and is just a nuisance but I wonder if it's related or just coincidence.
